PopCap Games gets connected with Metaflow
Content submissions and content ingestion specialist Metaflow has licensed its innovative submissions and business intelligence solution to casual games pioneer, PopCap Games.
Content publishers face increasing deployment times, complexities and costs when stocking multiple mobile operator and portal channels with their applications. Metaflow removes the traditional highly manual process of content submissions and greatly increases productivity and deployment capacity. Metaflow further enables valuable business intelligence within the mobile enterprise across all projects, all channels and all devices, leaving the publisher to focus on content creation and intelligent marketing.
This partnership announcement comes as PopCap moves further into the mobile gaming space with the recent launch of a mobile adaptation of their online best-seller, Chuzzle across Europe and North America. Chuzzle Mobile, is the first game to be created by PopCap's Dublin based development operation and their licensing agreement with Metaflow gives them access to a suite of tools and technologies that makes the mobile submission process that much more straightforward, accelerating time to market for its games through its channel partners.
"PopCap Games are highly successful on the Web at www.popcap.com and through numerous third party channels. As we directly enter the mobile publishing space across the globe, we need to avoid the traditional cost and complications which publishers experience with content deployment. Metaflow came highly recommended from several major publishing partners and that, coupled with the advanced business intelligence and content deployment capabilities, signalled an ideal fit for PopCap." said Mark Cochrane, European Business Development Director
"PopCap Games is a world leader in casual games and has already had phenomenal success with mobile versions of their content to date through experienced publishing partners. We are over the moon at working with PopCap during this exciting phase of their direct mobile strategy and delighted that they are benefiting from both the business and technical advantages that Metaflow provides." said Charles McLeod, Business Development Director at Metaflow.
PopCap Games joins an impressive list of major publishers and service providers such as Hands-On Mobile, Player X, THQ Wireless, Infospace, Namco Bandai, Player One, Babel Media and AMS, that Metaflow has signed up and more companies are expected to sign up over the coming weeks.
